Public identity
With opportunities for improving customer and public relations, artists
and designers are increasingly viewed as a necessity in helping commercial
enterprises in achieving a positive public identity.
The reception or entrance to your offices, leisure centre, hospital
etc is the ideal opportunity to make that all-important first impression.
Customer relationships
With a flexible approach to design we can work with you and support
the aims of your corporate identity plan by creating original and unique
artwork of excellence that can be both functional and purely decorative
to allow visitors the opportunity to gain a positive view of your company's
'personality or potential'.
Commercial spaces
Additionally, we have access to a wide range of artists working in
the whole media spectrum and can offer you a complete design service
to complement your interior or exterior commercial space.
Art forms covered include - ceramics and sculpture, trompe l'oeil painting
(trick of the eye), textile, banners, stained glass, glass etching and
woodcarving.
New build projects
We work with architects to identify opportunities within 'new build'
projects for the inclusion of excellent artwork that is most successful
when integrated at the planning stages.
Often, if the building has at least some public use the project may
need to include an element of public consultation that, with experience,
we can organise effectively.
With 'percent for art'* schemes becoming increasingly popular it is
widely recognised that the inclusion of high quality art and the consideration
of design does have a very positive effect on business, both financially
and in increasing status.
*percent for art generally means that on new build or refurbishment
projects that at least 1% of the total project cost should be targeted
towards artistic input.
Team building NEW
With many people spending 33% of their lives at work it is accepted
that the workplace also needs to take account of design for the people
working within these spaces to guarantee sustainable positive employer/employee
relationships.
We recognise that there are opportunities within our work to introduce
team building or skills training workshops working with our artists
and your employees and we would like to hear from you if this would
be of interest to your particular company. Like 'paint ball' team building
days with a difference!

Examples of ceramic work:

Ceramic relief sculpture designed for hospital. No moulds used in
making entirely hand built. Designed to encapsulate the dedication
and care of the special care baby unit team at Colchester Hospital. |

A 5m long colourful ceramic relief mural to appeal to the many
children that visit this busy leisure centre. As the mural is
in relief there are lots of tactile elements that can be appreciated
and as the mural is durable and washable they can touch it! The
mural was designed and created for the Riverside Leisure Centre
and entirely hand built.
|

Ceramic 'high' relief sculpture of a 'Baby in Hands' for the special
care baby unit at Southend Hospital. The sculpture weighed in
at 13 stones and needed special fixing to the 'dry lined' walls
of the hospital corridor. Again the commission reflected the dedication
of all the staff in the unit particularly to commemorate Hugo
Liebeschuetz the founder.
